Job summary

Atlas Copco Holding GmbH in Voorheesville, NY is seeking a CNC Programmer to optimize CNC processes, develop post-processors, and advance automation. You will collaborate with Production Engineering and Operations to improve productivity, quality, and manufacturing performance.

You will work with multi-axis machining centers, including mill-turn and machining centers, implementing macros, probing routines, and maintaining programming standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAM software for CNC program development and optimization.
• Experience programming CAM tools and machine controls such as Mazatrol.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling selection, GD&T, and machine controls.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
• Experience with Esprit CAM preferred.
• Previous CNC programmer or toolmaker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs and post-processors for multi-axis machining centers.
• Create efficient toolpaths that improve cycle times, tool life, and surface finish.
• Program and support advanced CNC equipment, including mill-turn and machining centers.
• Validate CNC programs through machine prove-outs and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering and Operations to implement reliable processes.
• Develop and support CNC automation solutions, including macros and probing routines.
• Establish and maintain programming standards and technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency and quality.
