HYCO Alabama is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support new product releases and manufacturing operations, focusing on CNC program development, machine setup, first-piece production, and operator training.

In this role you will work closely with Quality, Production and ES&H to ensure programs are tested, documented, and transitioned into production, while identifying opportunities to improve cycle time, tooling, and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Relevant machining, CNC programming, setup, and manufacturing experience may substitute for formal education.
• Experience with CNC programming, machine setup, and first-piece inspection.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and CAM tooling.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement.
• Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI).

Responsabilités

• Develop CNC and/or machine programs for new product releases and engineering changes.
• Set up, test, and prove out new programs prior to release to production.
• Coordinate and support production of test pieces for new products.
• Train production operators on machine operation and program use.
• Provide hands-on technical support to Production to resolve machining issues.
• Maintain accurate programming, setup, process, and production documentation.
• Assist with time studies and establish standard work.
• Communicate with departments to support new product launches and manufacturing operations.
