Job summary

Colonial Group in Walpole, MA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Programming to develop and prove out fully associative NX CAM programs for multi-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn operations on Siemens 840D controls. You will own the digital thread from model to machine within Teamcenter PLM, collaborating with external partners to shape workflows and standards.

You will drive process optimization, tooling choices, and post-processor customization to support hydrodynamic propulsion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with extensive CNC programming experience.
• Experience with NX CAM, VERICUT, and Teamcenter PLM in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in CN C programming for multi-axis milling/turning and post processing.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD confidential clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prove out, and maintain fully associative NX CAM programs for 3- to 5-axis operations.
• Validate toolpaths with NX CSE and VERICUT before machine prove-out.
• Program on-machine probing cycles for setup and in-process verification.
• Develop and maintain lights-out post processors for various machines.
• Collaborate to build structured master models and manufacturing method assemblies.
• Support shop floor as technical resource and assist quality/metrology teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology or related discipline

Associate’s degree in technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience

No degree with 10+ years of progressive Manufacturing Engineering and CNC programming experience
