American BOA, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a CNC Programmer (First Shift) to join our engineering team.

You will program 3- and 4-axis CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDM using FeatureCam and Esprit, working closely with Machinists, Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineers to boost productivity and optimize machining programs. Responsibilities include generating and maintaining programs and setup sheets in a low-volume, high-mix environment; selecting tools; setting speeds and feeds; suggesting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of CNC programming experience using FeatureCam software or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret G-code.
• Understanding of best machining practices.
• Proficient in measuring devices: micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain neat and orderly work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Independently work on assigned projects through all phases.

Responsibilities

• Manage and use Esprit and FeatureCam to generate programs for 3- and 4-axis CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDM.
• Generate and maintain programs and setup sheets in a low volume/high mix environment.
• Select tools for machining complex parts in steel, copper, and high nickel alloy materials.
• Define and adjust speed and feed parameters for tool life in challenging applications.
• Suggest drawing changes to improve manufacturability and CNC program strategy.
• Design and machine fixtures as needed.
• Meet productivity and production goals.
• Provide feedback and ideas for process improvements.
