Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist III to operate, set up and possibly program CNC mills, Wire EDMs and CNC lathes. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing team.

You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, and work toward OOQ standards while meeting production targets. Experience with fixtures, gauges, and program troubleshooting is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling in machines.
• Perform difficult CNC machining including progressive operations with close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Assist Engineering with redesigned fixtures to improve quality and productivity.
• Ensure product quality with OOQ standards and measuring equipment readings.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining needs.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Identify and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues.
