Atlanta Gear Works Inc in Dawsonville, GA is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist. Must have 3+ years of machining experience and be able to program and operate both manual and CNC lathes and mills. Reading mechanical drawings and precise measurement are essential for this role.

The position is on first shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:45 pm with overtime opportunities. Our shop services precision gearboxes for diverse industries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years experience in machining.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings.
• Experience with measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, etc.).

Responsabilités

• Machine parts from mechanical drawings.
• Perform CNC programming on the machine and in CAM.
• Set up, tool, and operate Manual and CNC Lathes and Mills.
• Read micrometers and other measuring instruments and record readings.
• Read mechanical drawings.
• Perform basic arithmetic as required.
