Job summary

Aerotek in Dayton, OH is seeking a CNC Programmer for the first shift to develop programs for 3-5 axis CNC mills, lathes and wire EDMs. You will work independently alongside two other programmers and help troubleshoot on the shop floor in a climate-controlled, large-scale facility.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in offline CNC programming, strong math skills, and experience with Mastercam, AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of offline CNC programming experience.
• Proficiency in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus and statistics.
• Knowledge of machine and tool designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Understanding of engineering principles, techniques, procedures and equipment.
• Ability to draw using AutoCAD or SolidWorks software.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop programs for CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDMs.
• Work independently and with other programmers.
• Debug and troubleshoot programs on the shop floor.
• Educate operators on program nuances and machine tooling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
