Responsibilities include analyzing drawings, testing and revising programs, balancing material removal rates, and selecting appropriate tooling and machine configurations.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; bronze WorkKeys acceptable.
• Two-year vocational training is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Program CNC machines (2-5 axes) using CATIA V5/6 or Mastercam.
• Analyze blueprints and drawings to plan cutting paths and verify against specs.
• Test, optimize and revise NC programs for quality and throughput.
• Balance material removal rates to meet part quality and cycle goals.
• Select machine type, tooling, and cutting strategies per part requirements.
• Reverse engineer parts to create tools and verify safety and usability.
• Meet deadlines and work collaboratively or independently as needed.
• Train others when required and support tool proving with operators.
• Verify programs using NC verification tools (e.g., Vericut) before shop release.
• Implement latest cutter technologies and stay aware of process improvements.
