Job summary

Aero-Tech Engineering is seeking an NC Programmer to join a team of programmers in an office and machine shop environment, creating and troubleshooting complex toolpaths for 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers.

The candidate should have CATIA V5 NC programming experience, machining background, GD&T knowledge, and Vericut familiarity to support aerospace projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CATIA V5 NC programming experience required.
• 2+ years machining experience preferred.
• CATIA V5 modeling in Part design, Assembly design, and Generative shape design required.
• Experience with Vericut required.
• Experience with aerospace machining standards required.
• Ability to understand customer engineering requirements, customer supplied drawings and GD&T.
• Mechanical design/drafting experience is a plus.

Job description

NC Programmer will be part of a team of programmers working in an office and machine shop environment to create and troubleshoot complex toolpaths for 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers. The individual must have solid machining knowledge, understand machine setup and work holding principles, and be able to interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications. The candidate will be working with Process Engineers, Tool Designers, Operations and Quality personnel to establish world class CNC manufacturing operations for our Aerospace customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan and design tools and fixtures for NC manufacturing.
• Create NC programs for multi axis machines by using CATIA V5.
• Optimize programs and machining process for cost reduction.
• Create setup and manufacturing instructions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Equivalent 3+ yrs. Catia V5 NC Programming is required
• 2+ yrs Machining experience is preferred
• Experience with CATIA V5 modeling in Part design, Assembly design ,and Generative shape design is required
• Experience with Vericut is required
• Experience with Aerospace machining standards is required
• Must be able to understand customer supplied engineering requirements, customer supplied drawings and GD&T
• Mechanical Design/Drafting experience is a plus

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must have strong machining, manufacturing and mechanical aptitude
• Must have good reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Proficient PC skills and be able to learn new software applications
• Knowledge of Data Management and Configuration Management principles

• Ability to function with minimum supervision
