Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC/CAD-CAM Programmer for manufacturing environments in Wichita, KS. The role focuses on programming 3- and 5-axis machines, converting drawings to G Code, and updating programs while ensuring accuracy and quality as per blueprints.

The candidate should have 10+ years of CAD/CAM programming experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and solid communication, safety, and maintenance knowledge.

Qualifications

• 10+ years CAD/CAM programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, basic repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of safe working practices.
• Ability to understand and interpret basic written technical information.
• Familiarity with producing precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC equipment for 3 and 5 axis cutting, lathes, and routers to form parts from raw materials.
• Use CAD/CAM to convert drawings and change orders into G Code files.
• Implement changes to machine programs and prepare for future jobs while machines run.
• Complete documentation and follow up in a timely manner.
• Inspect and evaluate production parts to blueprint specifications.
• Design, build, and repair basic mechanical equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on departmental equipment and machinery.

Job description

• Program various CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as 3 and 5 axis cutting, CNC Lathe and router programming to form or shape manufactured parts from raw materials.
• Uses CAD/CAM programming system to convert engineering drawing and change orders into machine G Code format.
• Implement changes to machine programs and enter new specifications; program future jobs while machines are operating and ensure the current revision level is accurate.
• Completes all necessary documentation and follows up as required in a timely, orderly manner.
• Responsible for a variety of tasks involving inspecting and evaluating production parts to blueprint specifications.
• May design, build, and repair a broad variety of basic mechanical and/or specialty equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
• May perform preventive maintenance responsibilities for assigned departmental equipment/machinery, including corrective maintenance as required.
• 10+ years of CAD/CAM programming experience in a manufacturing environment; ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Requires great attention to detail and the ability to read drawings and specifications (GDT).
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic repair, and maintenance.
