Job summary

Accelera in the United States is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to convert raw stock into precise parts by reading complex engineering blueprints, creating CNC programs, and configuring machines to meet exact production specifications.

You will verify code with Vericut, optimize multi-axis milling via Mastercam, design fixtures in SolidWorks, mentor teammates, and drive continuous improvements in our CNC programming workflows while supporting the Engineering Manager in implementing best

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mastercam.
• Experience in high-precision, close-tolerance milling.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T standards.
• Project management to meet delivery timelines in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage multi-axis CNC programs via MasterCAM in collaboration with Process Engineers.
• Use Vericut to verify collision-free code before production.
• Collaborate with supervisors and programmers to clarify intent and outcomes.
• Advance and standardize internal CNC programming workflows.
• Diagnose and resolve complex machining process challenges.
• Provide technical guidance on CNC programming questions or errors.
• Design work holding and fixtures using SolidWorks or MasterCAM.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Job description

As a CNC Programmer, your primary objective is to convert raw stock into high-precision, functional parts by utilizing advanced manufacturing equipment. You will be tasked with reading complex engineering blueprints, creating and executing CNC programs, and configuring machinery to meet exact production requirements. Furthermore, you will perform trial runs and refine settings to guarantee that all finished items strictly adhere to the provided engineering specifications.

Core Responsibilities

• Create and manage multi-axis CNC programs via MasterCAM CAD/CAM software while working closely with Process Engineers to optimize production.
• Utilize Vericut simulation software to verify that all code is collision-free before production begins.
• Work alongside supervisors and fellow programmers to clarify program intent and process outcomes, ensuring all machine capabilities and operator skill levels are accounted for.
• Help drive the advancement and consistency of our internal CNC programming workflows.
• Support the team by diagnosing and resolving complex machining process challenges.
• Offer technical guidance by addressing any questions or errors related to CNC programming.
• Design necessary work holding and fixtures using SolidWorks or MasterCAM, managing the detailing process or coordinating with draftsmen to complete the task.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience utilizing Mastercam.
• Proven background operating within a high-precision, close-tolerance milling setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge and application of GD&T standards.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills to ensure customer delivery timelines are consistently achieved in a high-speed environment.
