Job description

Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial composite materials, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team in Ramsey.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and implement efficient CNC programs by collaborating with engineering and production teams to convert CAD designs into CNC programs using software such as MasterCAM.
2. Program complex CNC machines, optimizing tool paths, machining strategies, and cutting parameters.
3. Work with cross-functional teams to identify manufacturing issues and provide updates on program status.
4. Identify process improvements to optimize CNC operations, reduce scrap, and enhance productivity.
5. Maintain comprehensive program documentation.
6. Conduct verification and post-processing checks to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
7. Possess strong knowledge of CNC software like MasterCAM, SolidWorks, or similar.
8. Have proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc., and a good understanding of CNC machining principles.
9. Bring 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
10. Demonstrate problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve programming issues.
11. Exhibit attention to detail with a focus on precision and accuracy.
12. Communicate effectively with team members and articulate technical concepts clearly.
13. Manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to meet deadlines.
2. Fluent in spoken and written English.
3. Self-motivated with the ability to start quickly.
4. Strong attention to detail.
5. Minimum GCSE level education.
6. Relevant practical experience.
7. One year of professional experience (preferred).
