CNC Machinist/Programmer (Afternoon Shift)

Job Overview

Ironwood Electronics is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer for the Afternoon Shift. The primary duties include:

1. Setup and operation of CNC machines
2. Programming & editing CNC programs using GibbsCam (training provided)
3. Performing in-process inspection of machined products
4. Maintaining records
5. Performing preventive maintenance on machines and equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a CNC operator or machine trade schooling
• Good communication skills
• A desire to advance beyond basic operation
• Positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Two-year degree in a machine trade
• 3+ years setup experience on CNC mills (Haas & Fanuc controls)
• Experience with GibbsCAM or similar CAM software
• Experience in 4th axis machining
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Swiss machining experience (a plus but not required)

Additional Information

The ideal candidate will have CNC mill experience and GibbsCam programming skills, especially with multi-axis parts. Supervisory experience is advantageous. Swiss setup and operator experience is a plus but not mandatory, as this is primarily a mill position.
