Job summary

Jobot is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our precision manufacturing team in Hartford, CT. You will program and operate CNC equipment to produce high-quality, complex parts and instruments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC programming and operation experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
  • Expertise with G-code and M-code programming.
  • Extensive CAD experience: AutoCAD, Creo, Mastercam.
  • Familiarity with Windchill and Vericut software.

Responsibilities

As a CNC Programmer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Writing and optimizing CNC programs to create complex parts on 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines using CAD/CAM software.
  • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
  • Loading raw materials into the CNC machines.
  • Setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring the manufactured parts meet all quality standards.
  • Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborating with the design team and providing input on part design and manufacturability.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications

To qualify for the CNC Programmer position, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming and operation.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical documents and drawings.
  • Expertise in G-code and M-code programming.
  • Extensive experience with CAD software, specifically AutoCAD, Creo, and Mastercam.
  • Familiarity with Windchill and Vericut software.
  • Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant field is a plus.
