Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Programmer in California to join our aerospace engineering team. The role focuses on creating and improving CNC programs for milling and horizontal mills with Fanuc controls, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output.

The candidate will use Mastercam, Solidworks, and CIMCO to optimize machining processes, interpret technical drawings, and implement NC codes. A strong emphasis on safety and collaboration with the engineering team is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC Programmer experience in engineering/manufacturing.
  • Proficient in CNC programming with Mill and Fanuc controls, NC codes, Solidworks, CIMCO, and horizontal mills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain CNC programs for milling and horizontal mills using Fanuc controls.
  • Use Mastercam, Solidworks and CIMCO to design and optimize machining processes.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create/modify NC codes.
  • Perform regular tests and inspections to ensure machines operate optimally.
  • Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment per OSHA standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to operators.

As a Permanent CNC Programmer in our Engineering team, you will be a critical part of our company's success. You will be responsible for creating and improving CNC programs to maintain efficiency and effectiveness in our manufacturing process. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing machining strategies, improving manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring product quality. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain CNC programs for milling machines and horizontal mills using Fanuc controls.
  • Use Mastercam, Solidworks and CIMCO software to design and optimize machining processes.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create and modify NC codes.
  • Perform regular tests and inspections to ensure that machines are working optimally.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot any issues and improve machining processes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to the machine operators, as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in the engineering industry.
  • Proficient in CNC programming, including the use of Mill, Fanuc controls, NC Codes, Solidworks, Haas, CIMCO, and horizontal mills.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and production methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of industry safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a strong desire to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Willingness to undergo further training, as needed.
