Key Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and maintain CNC programs based on blueprints and technical drawings
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to optimize machining processes and reduce cycle time
• Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for various materials
• Perform program prove-outs and make adjustments for accuracy and safety
• Troubleshoot machining or programming issues and suggest improvements
• Support machine setup and first-article inspections
• Maintain accurate setup sheets, tooling documentation, and program version control
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical training in CNC programming or machining preferred
• Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience (lathe and/or mill)
• Proficient in G-code/M-code and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
