Job summary
Burkert USA Corp is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for CNC machining process ownership in Huntersville, NC. You will manage value stream performance from raw stock to finished parts, optimize spindle time, and improve setup practices while coordinating with CAM and SAP systems.
The role requires 5–8 years in precision CNC environments, strong GD&T/CMM familiarity, and demonstrated Kaizen/VSM/5S leadership in a machining context.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in a manufacturing/engineering discipline.
- 5–8 years of progressive CNC machining experience with precision components.
- Hands-on SAP CM25 / Fiori scheduling experience and routing management.
- Kaizen, VSM and 5S leadership in a machining environment.
Responsibilities
- Own CNC machining value stream from raw stock to finished part release.
- Drive spindle time optimization across turning, milling and multi-axis cells.
- Define and enforce setup standards, fixturing, first-article/handovers.
- Lead Kaizen, VSM and 5S initiatives in machining.
- Maintain manufacturing qualification matrix and SOPs per SYNCHRO.
- Ensure SAP routing data accuracy and tool/maintenance records.
- Collaborate with CAM programmers and intralogistics to improve flow.
