Job summary

Standex International is seeking a Process Engineer - CNC Programmer to develop and document CNC and manual machining processes. The role includes hands-on development, troubleshooting, CNC programming, process definition, standard work, tool design and improvement, and process control documentation.

Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering preferred.
• 3–5+ years in manufacturing or machining environment beneficial.
• Proficient in CNC machining, GD&T, cutting tool technology, and metalworking principles.
• CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and project management tools (MS Project).
• MS Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Program machining and robot operations as required.
• Assist with tool design and approval for critical processing.
• Capture process information for detailed definition and control.
• Provide estimating support through process simulations and costing inputs.
• Analyze and improve machining operations to reduce cycle time and improve tool life.
