Job summary

Hendrick Motorsports is seeking a CNC Process Engineer to systematically develop and drive manufacturing improvements in CNC machining. You will collaborate with operators and engineers to implement process development, fixture design, and tool selection, while leading capability studies and DOE feedback to production.

The role requires hands-on programming, fixture and tool design, and a strong grasp of GD&T.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machining tools (form cutters, end mills, tool holders).
• Strong programming knowledge for mills and lathes (G/Codes, M/Codes, offsets).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings with GD&T and tolerances.
• Experience with QA and process capability review.
• Proven problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement CNC machining processes with appropriate tooling and NC programs.
• Lead process improvement projects to reduce machining duration and cost.
• Support modernization and deployment of new equipment and capabilities.
• Determine optimal operation sequences, tooling, and setups.
• Create machinist instructions and troubleshooting guides.
• Address CNC issues affecting product quality and lead corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve automation efficiency and design.
• Support bid proposals by providing scope of work and costs.
