Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, NC seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to systematically identify, plan, and drive CNC machining continuous improvement across production processes. You will collaborate with machine operators and engineers to develop processes, fixtures, and tooling, and to implement NC programming and tool paths for precision parts.

Competenze

• Knowledge of machining tools: form cutters, tool holders, end mills.
• Experience machining parts start-to-finish on manual or programmed operations.
• Experience CNC programming for mills and lathes with small tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and work holding techniques.
• Familiarity with production machining for aluminum, steel, titanium; GD&T and SPC.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height gauges.
• Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis mills; Renishaw probes a plus.
• Understanding of DOE, GD&T, SPC and mechanical fabrication techniques.
• Knowledge of high feed/high speed machining and mill-turn concepts.
• Ability to set up and troubleshoot CNC processes; provide corrective actions.
• Experience with DFM feedback to design teams to optimize CNC.

• Lead manufacturing process improvement projects to reduce duration and cost.
• Support strategic projects to bring new capabilities via new equipment or modernization.
• Determine economical processes, operation sequence, and tooling.
• Create instructions for machinists.
• Identify and address CNC issues affecting product quality.
• Use Six Sigma and other programs to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with shop floor to improve automation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and quoting to develop bids and scopes.
