Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a CNC Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead CNC programming and manufacturing engineering in a high‑mix, precision machining environment. This leadership role combines hands‑on technical expertise with process improvement and team development.

You will mentor CNC programmers, oversee tooling, fixture design, and setup docs, and partner with cross‑functional teams to drive efficiency and quality on new and existing projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of CNC programming/manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in precision machining or contract manufacturing.
• Strong CAD/CAM experience (Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and CNC machining best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor CNC programmers and manufacturing engineers.
• Oversee CNC programming, tooling, fixture design, and setup documentation.
• Support production by troubleshooting machining and programming issues.
• Standardize engineering processes and improve efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce setup time, scrap, and downtime.
• Partner with production, quality, planning, and estimating teams on new and existing projects.
