Job summary

ASML Wilton Factory is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join the Optical Fabrication team. You will support daily manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement to advance equipment capability and product performance.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical/Optical/Materials) required.
• 10+ years in optical fabrication process engineering or related manufacturing.
• Hands-on optics fabrication: CNC machining, polishing, and surface inspection.
• Proficient in RCA and lean manufacturing tools.
• Familiar with metrology techniques and quality assurance in optics manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead problem-solving initiatives and implement process improvements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across departments.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture and ensure EHS compliance.
• Develop, document, and improve CNC processes and workflows.
• Optimize cycle times, toolpaths, feeds/speeds, and fixturing.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and metrology to resolve issues.
• Diagnose machining issues related to tooling and equipment.
• Partner with maintenance and vendors on machine performance and reliability.
• Analyze machining performance using SPC and data-driven problem solving.
• Define process specs and use statistics to drive decisions and 6P from feasibility to production-readiness.
• Perform hands-on process trials and support qualification of new equipment/materials.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for deviations or nonconformances.
• Drive 5S and workplace organization around CNC areas.
