Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an engineer to develop processes, define controls, and reduce variability in manufacturing. You will perform audits, update procedures, analyze data, and lead process improvement projects across production lines on a hands‑on basis.

Ideal candidates will have a Mechanical Engineering background, G-Code/NC programming, and exposure to investment casting. New grads are welcomed, with opportunities for growth and hands‑on experience on new part introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related Engineering discipline.
• G-Code experience required; MasterCam experience is a plus.
• New grads with G-Code / NC programming welcomed.
• Hands‑on experience in airfoils investment casting industry is a plus.
• Six sigma Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes, define controls, and institute effective variability reduction efforts in manufacturing areas.
• Perform daily audits to ensure procedures are being followed on the manufacturing floor.
• Update/revise area procedures to ensure clarity and reduce the opportunity for process variation.
• Perform data analysis to identify and control process excursions.
• Drive process and improvement initiatives; continuously improve processes to reduce scrap.
• Initiate and interface with all levels of manufacturing, management, suppliers and customers.
• Provide hands on floor level investigations and problem solving.
• Participates in cost reduction, continuous improvement and new part introduction (NPI) teams, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
