Job summary

You will study blueprints, routings, and control plans to meet dimensional specs and tooling needs, setting up and operating tools for precision machining.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent Associate’s Degree; or 3 years of experience in a heavy-duty machining environment.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Familiar with CNC-controls, tooling, and quality inspection practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840 D Controllers according to instructions and drawings.
• Study routings, control plans, job orders, and blueprints to meet specs and tooling needs.
• Select tools and materials for cubic engine components and perform precision machining.
• Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machining tools for quality parts.
• Check calipers, micrometers, gauges, and fixtures per quality plans and adjust as needed.
