Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG in Aiken, SC is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the Mini Shift (Friday through Sunday, 5:45am–6:15pm). You will operate HELLER CNC centers with Siemens 840D controllers, set up tooling, and read blueprints to meet production requirements.

Qualifications include 2 years in a mechanical or machining program or 3 years in heavy machining, and knowledge of SPC. A sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered, with relocation assistance if applicable.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining program or equivalent Associate’s Degree; or 3 years of experience in a heavy duty machining environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of CNC-controls (preferred SIEMENS 840 D Controllers) and tooling
• Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and SPC data to ensure quality

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Heller machining centers with Siemens 840D controllers per instructions, routings and diagrams.
• Study machining instructions, routings, control plans and blueprints to determine specifications and tooling needs.
• Set up, adjust and operate basic and advanced machine tools for precise machining operations.
• Check measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and adjust processes to meet quality plans.
