Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Aiken, SC is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for mini shifts (Fri–Sun, 5:45am–6:15pm). You will operate CNC HELLER centers with Siemens 840D controllers, interpret blueprints, select tooling, and maintain precision tolerances for engine components.

Two years of technical schooling or equivalent experience is required, along with SPC basics. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 and relocation assistance may apply. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent Associate’s Degree; or 3 years of experience in a heavy duty machining environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of CNC-controls (preferred SIEMENS 840 D Controllers) machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Intermediate knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics and their applications.
• Basic ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and operate scanning devices for system communications.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840 D Controllers per instructions, routings and diagrams.
• Study instructions and blueprints to determine specifications, sequences and tooling needs.
• Select tools and materials for cubic engine components preparation.
• Set up, adjust and operate basic and advanced machine tools for precision machining.
• Check precision measuring instruments and adjust per quality control plans.
