Job summary

Aerotek in Muskegon, MI is seeking a CNC Operator to run a range of CNC mills and lathes in a well-organized machine shop environment. Entry-level candidates will receive structured training to progress through skill levels from basic part handling to full machine operation.

Two main shifts are available, with a contract-to-hire path. This role requires precision in measurements and blueprints, safety, and ongoing skill development in a production-focused setting.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in a production environment.
• Pass a basic math test using a calculator.
• Willingness to learn operation of CNC mills and lathes, including Haas and Mazak machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and lathes across various brands.
• Start at Level 1 by safely removing finished parts.
• Perform quality checks with tape measures, calipers, and other hand tools.
• Document inspection results for quality records and traceability.
• Read and interpret blueprints as training progresses.
