Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and operate CNC machines in a two-shift environment in Evanston, IL. You will mill, turn, and drill metal parts, verify dimensions, and maintain machines for continued production efficiency.

The role requires reading blueprints, adhering to strict quality standards, and using precision measuring tools. Training and certifications in CNC operation are preferred, with onsite, permanent employment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC equipment including lathe and milling machines.
• Formal CNC operator certification or equivalent classroom training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong quality standards and shop mathematics.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and instruments.
• Ability to record dimensional data as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to mill, turn, and drill metal parts.
• Work in a machine cell operating multiple machines.
• Monitor parts and machines for proper operation.
• Perform scheduled machine maintenance per instructions.
• Measure dimensions to ensure conformance with specs.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by supervision.
