Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Mill or CNC Lathe Machinist in Flushing, MI. You will set up and operate CNC mills or lathes to produce precision components in a climate-controlled shop, following engineering drawings and GD&T.

The role runs on first and second shifts, is contract-based, with a pay range of $28.00 to $31.00 per hour. Experience with Mastercam, Haas centers, and Fanuc controls is preferred; safety and quality are top priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting up and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency with G-code editing on Fanuc or similar controls.
• Proven ability to read blueprints and ensure dimensional accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills to produce parts per drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements.
• Set up fixturing, tools, and workholding for milling operations.
• Calculate feeds, speeds, and depths of cut for accuracy.
• Interpret and modify CNC programs at the machine controller.
• Adjust offsets and machine parameters for quality results.
• Monitor operations and ensure tolerances and surface finish.
• Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools.
• Ensure work area is clean and safe.
