Steel Tool & Engineering Co. in Trenton, MI is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set up and run mills, lathes, and EDM for aerospace components. You will read blueprints, verify tooling, and monitor tolerances to ensure parts meet strict specifications and AS9100 quality standards.

This hands-on role requires 2+ years of CNC experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to safety. Multiple shifts with shift premium options available.

Qualificações

• Read blueprints and GD&T specifications to ensure correct fabrication.
• Proficient use of measuring tools (calipers, height gage, micrometers).
• Ability to read decimals to one ten-thousandth and work with CNC controls.
• Strong attention to detail and precision required for aerospace parts.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and setup.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or EDM).
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specs.
• Load products correctly, verify tooling and machine settings.
• Monitor operations to detect malfunctions or deviations.
• Perform in-process inspections using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Maintain tight tolerances for aerospace-grade components.
• Document production data for traceability and quality records.
• Follow safety procedures and aerospace quality standards (AS9100).
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve issues.
