Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators to run lathes, read blueprints, and ensure precision on complex power transmission components. The role emphasizes GD&T application, program troubleshooting, and collaboration with supervisors and quality staff.

You’ll work 3rd shift (Mon-Thu, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM) in a non-climate-controlled shop, with daily documentation and safety requirements. Growth and benefits are highlighted for dedicated team members.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and routing instructions with accuracy.
• Apply GD&T principles to inspect parts and setups.
• Demonstrate basic shop math and measurement technique.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes for turning, drilling, and live tooling.
• Optimize setups, reduce cycle times, and maintain offsets.
• Interpret blueprints and maintain documentation logs.
• Apply GD&T and troubleshoot programs as needed.
• Inspect parts in-process and report non-conformances to leadership.
• Coordinate with supervisors and QA to resolve quality concerns.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE during shifts.
• Record issues and perform daily preventive maintenance.
