Job summary

The Dixon Group, a long‑standing manufacturing company, is seeking a CNC Operator to support their Winchester operations. This entry‑level role offers training to learn CNC setup and operation with Mazak and Fanuc controls, aiming to meet drawing and quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines.

• Complete basic daily maintenance on machines.
• Rotate between assignments to support production.
• Collaborate with team and participate in ongoing training.

Work Hours: 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday

What You’ll Do

• Learn to set up and operate CNC machines (experience with Fanuc and Mazak controls is a plus)
• Identify and resolve machining or program issues
• Perform inspections to ensure components meet drawing and quality specifications
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Complete basic daily maintenance on machines
• Rotate between assignments as needed to support production
• Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience as a CNC operator or a strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn (we will train the right candidate!)
• Familiarity with G‑code programming or blueprints is a plus, but not required
• Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls preferred
• Skilled or willing to learn the use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Strong reading, math, and data entry abilities
• General computer proficiency
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for the full shift
