Job summary

Micro Matic is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and run multiple machines, including routers and milling centers, while ensuring tight tolerances. You will cross-train across CNC equipment and perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers and related tools.

The role requires basic math skills, the ability to read blueprints, and adherence to safety and inspection procedures. Overtime may be required, with a focus on quality and on-time production.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in setting up multi-axis CNCs; routers, horizontal milling, and/or vertical milling machines.
  • CNC programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
  • Cross-train on all CNC equipment.
  • Performs basic math calculations.
  • Interprets basic dimensions on a print and loads, unloads and inspects parts while maintaining dimensional tolerances within specifications.
  • Accurately utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins and depth micrometers.
  • Detects equipment malfunctions and/or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required to ensure quality of production.
  • Reports machining problems to supervisor for assistance.
  • Maintains a clean work area, including equipment, and observes all safety
  • Follows documented operator procedures including but not limited to inspection check sheets and operator notes.
  • Performs other duties as needed and
