Job summary

Techoundsllc is seeking a CNC Operator to operate one or more CNC machines (Mill, Lathe with live tooling and/or Mill Turn CNC) in an R&D environment. The role involves setting up and editing programs, performing precision measurements, and maintaining machine health.

Qualified candidates have at least five years of CNC experience, strong math abilities, and familiarity with blueprints. Mastercam/Esprit knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience operating and setting up CNC machines (lathes, mills, Mill Turn).
• Ability to determine production methods and sequences from blueprints and specifications.
• Advanced math skills including trig and algebra.
• Knowledge of Mastercam/Esprit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Start machine and observe operation, reposition work piece or adjust settings for multiple passes.
• Set up and edit CNC programs.
• Inspect or measure with precision instruments.
• Maintain and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on shop machines.
• Troubleshoot CNC machines.
• Run more than one machine/production process at a time.
• Calculate and set machine controls to position tools, depth, speed, and coolant flow.

SUMMARY

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating one or more CNC machines (Mill, Lathe with live tooling and/or Mill Turn CNC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Start machine and observe its operation to reposition work piece, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes.
• Experience working in an R&D environment.
• Set up and edit programs.
• Inspect or measure using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintains machine and perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on shop machines.
• Troubleshoot CNC Machines.
• Runs more than one machine/production process at a time.
• Calculates and sets machine controls to position tools, and regulate cutting depth, speed, feed or coolant flow.

• Knowledge of Mastercam/Esprit a plus
