Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks a Milling Machinist 3 to join our Manufacturing Organization. The role requires knowledge of Aircraft Structural fabrication, assembly, and installations, and will involve setup and operation of CNC milling and waterjet equipment on site.

You will work in a fast-paced lab environment with engineers and technicians, adhere to safety and quality standards, and support programs that may require U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years related machining experience.
• Experience programming/operating 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
• Experience in GD&T in design and manufacturing process.
• Experience in Mastercam or related CAM software.
• Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical work and pass a new hire Physical.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Waterjets and milling machines to exacting tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; select tooling and plan operations.
• Monitor and verify quality using precision measuring instruments and statistical methods.
• Collaborate with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers; uphold safety and housekeeping.
