Job summary

SMF Inc. is seeking experienced CNC Milling Machine Operators for the 2nd and 3rd shifts in Minonk, IL. You will set up and run CNC milling centers, reading blueprints, loading materials, and inspecting outputs to ensure parts meet exact specifications.

The role offers a shift premium of $2.50/hour, competitive starting rates, and a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, PTO, holidays, and 401(k). Prior CNC experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC milling centers preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long durations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Milling Machine Centers to perform drilling, grinding, and milling tasks.
• Read specifications from blueprints or drawings and translate into machine commands.
• Load raw materials, run test cycles, and fabricate parts per tolerances.
• Monitor machine output, adjust settings, and ensure quality against specs.
• Inspect finished parts and maintain daily machine maintenance.
