Job summary

SMF in Minonk, IL is seeking a Quality Inspector for 1st and 2nd shifts to support manufacturing through receiving checks, weld cert audits, and documentation of results. The role emphasizes metrology, gage calibration, and maintaining quality across processes within our two-location operation.

The ideal candidate will perform non-conforming part reviews, escalate quality issues, and contribute to continuous improvement with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Keep it clean: maintain organized work areas for smooth operations.
• Quality guardian: inspect rejected/reworked material, track non-conforming parts, and escalate issues.
• Process evaluator: ensure proper gages at machine stations & recommend improvements.
