Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Mill Operator in Phoenix, AZ for a contract role. The candidate will set up, program, and operate CNC mills to produce precision piston rings, interpreting CAD drawings and ensuring quality per specifications.

The position requires at least 2 years of CNC experience, blueprints proficiency, and a focus on safety. On-site shifts run weekdays with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as CNC operator with setup, operation and programming.
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings for accurate programming.
• Experience with inspection tools to verify tolerances and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC mills, tools, fixtures, and calibrate machines for runs.
• Program mills from CAD drawings to produce piston rings.
• Interpret blueprints to ensure correct machining and spec compliance.
• Run mills to required tolerances and surface finishes.
• Inspect finished parts and document results.
• Monitor performance and adjust programs as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Collaborate with team to meet schedules and targets.
