Job summary

Fbmfg in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a CNC Operator for 1st shift to setup and run CNC machines in a fast-paced machine shop. The role requires the ability to read blueprints, program and adjust tools, and ensure parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities include writing CAM programs, selecting proper tooling, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams to maintain product quality and efficiency. Aerospace experience is a plus, with room for progression.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years CNC Lathe/Mill experience for Level 1, 2–5 years for Level 2, 5+ years for Level 3.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment.
• CAD/CAM software proficiency; MasterCAM a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret English blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers.
• Observe operation and measure parts with specified inspection media.
• Write and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis machines.
• Prepare and operate CNC lathes and mills, perform tool changes and simple–complex edits.
• Generate CNC programs using CAM software; apply feeds, speeds, and tool knowledge.
• Develop work holding solutions and select cutting tools.
