Job summary

CMI Group - Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing is seeking an Experienced CNC Machinist for the Weekend Shift in North Phoenix. The role requires reading blueprints, determining fixtures and tools, and ensuring quality through in-process inspections.

Candidates must meet ITAR/compliance standards and be able to work Friday through Sunday on 1st or 2nd shift as designated. Key tasks include loading programs, setting tool offsets, maintaining tools, and completing MOT/DMR paperwork.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading blueprints, tolerances and GD&T per customer/industry standards.
• Experience operating CNC lathes and mills with basic setup.
• Ability to determine fixtures, tools, and programs for parts.

Responsibilities

• Study MOTs, blueprints, and sketches to determine operations.
• Select fixtures, tools, and gages needed for operations.
• Set up machines and verify tool offsets; load programs and verify sequence.
