Job summary

MOHR Talent seeks a CNC Mill Machinist in West Point, MS to operate large bed CNC mills producing tight-tolerance aerospace/defense components. In-person, full-time with a $60k–$70k annual target based on 40h/week.

Expect to read blueprints, apply GD&T, and collaborate with engineering and QA. This role includes overtime opportunities and a 4/10 schedule on first/second shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years operating CNC machines in precision manufacturing.
• Experience with large bed CNC mills is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T on complex drawings is required.

Responsibilities

• Read technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files for accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machine issues to keep production moving.

Job Description

West Point, MS | In-Person | $28.85 - $31.25/hr | Full-Time

A well established and growing precision manufacturing company serving the aerospace and defense sector is hiring a CNC Machinist to join a team that cares about their people. This is a hands-on opportunity to run large bed CNC milling machines on tight-tolerance components for critical aerospace and defense programs.

What You'll Do:

• Operate and maintain large bed CNC milling machines to produce high-precision aerospace and defense components to tight tolerances
• Read and apply complex technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to ensure machining accuracy
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and setup issues to keep production moving
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators
• Work alongside engineering, quality, and production teams on complex geometries and specialized materials
• Assist with developing and optimizing CNC programs (G-code or CAM software), especially on multi-axis machines

What You Bring:

• 3+ years operating CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment; large bed CNC milling experience strongly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, ideally with specialty metals and composites
• Ability to read and apply GD&T on complex technical drawings
• Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Haas; CAM software experience is a plus
• High school diploma or GED required; formal CNC machining program, trade school, or apprenticeship preferred
• Comfortable standing 10+ hours per shift and lifting up to 50 lbs
