Job summary

Mohr Talent is a growing precision-manufacturing operation seeking a CNC Lathe/Swiss Machinist for second shift in Byron Center, MI. You will confidently run Swiss-style and Mill/Turn CNC lathes, follow blueprints and GD&T, and inspect parts to ensure quality.

You will work four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 2:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m., with Fridays–Sundays off. We offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, life insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• Two years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Background with Citizen, Swiss, CNC lathe, Mill/Turn, vertical mill, or multi-axis equipment.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate Swiss-style and Mill/Turn CNC lathes.
• Follow blueprints, GD&T, and job-specific work instructions.
• Measure finished and in-process parts using standard inspection tools.
• Watch for tool, machine, or quality problems during production.

CNC Lathe/Swiss Machinist – Second Shift

Level 2–3 | Byron Center, MI 49315
Monday–Thursday | 2:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m.
$24.00–$32.00 per hour + 10% shift premium

Bring your CNC machining experience to a growing precision-manufacturing operation. We are looking for machinists who can confidently run equipment, inspect their work, and consistently produce quality parts.

You will work four 10-hour shifts and have every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Operate Swiss-style and Mill/Turn CNC lathes.
• Follow blueprints, GD&T, and job-specific work instructions.
• Measure finished and in-process parts using standard inspection tools.
• Watch for tool, machine, or quality problems during production.

Experience We Value

• At least two years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Background with Citizen, Swiss, CNC lathe, Mill/Turn, vertical mill, or multi-axis equipment.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Experience with one or more of these machine types is sufficient.
