CNC Mechanical Technician

Position Summary:

The CNC Mechanical Technician provides mechanical support in our in-house prototype machine shop. Responsibilities include maintaining machines—covering coolant, calibration, scheduled maintenance, repairs, and routine servicing—and ensuring a clean working environment in the shop.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform problem-solving tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
2. Troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain machines to ensure smooth operation.
3. Maintain a clean work environment through regular cleaning and upkeep.
4. Ensure shop operations comply with our in-house quality system.
5. Keep detailed service documentation records per Globus’ quality standards.
6. Calibrate all machines and measurement equipment regularly and in compliance with quality standards.
7. Use personal vehicle for occasional deliveries and pickups as needed.
8. Adapt to varied work assignments with flexibility.
9. Demonstrate high motivation and mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in a machine shop environment, with CNC milling machines, lathes, and wire EDMs considered a plus.
2. Mechanical trade experience or strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
3. Electrical diagnostics experience is advantageous.
4. High school diploma is required.
5. Self-motivated, able to work independently.
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multitasking skills.
7. Well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team player capable of meeting deadlines.
8. Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.
9. Physical ability to operate shop machinery.
10. Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, climb, balance, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception are required.
