Job Description Summary

The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician safely and independently performs preventive, routine, and reactive maintenance tasks. As a GE Power business, Metem offers cooling hole technologies in the power generation and aerospace industries to increase engine efficiency. We provide a comprehensive suite of non-conventional and conventional machining services in a sophisticated, environmentally conscious manner.

Job Description

What you'll do

1. Perform predictive, preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance on production equipment.
2. Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, and install electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and pumps.
3. Calibrate process control equipment and maintain motor starters, VFDs, and servo controls.
4. Perform circuit board repairs using soldering, wiring, and rework techniques with various test equipment.
5. Assemble power supplies and electronic equipment.
6. Install and repair plumbing, piping, conduit, and raceway systems.
7. Perform interior and exterior facilities and building maintenance.
8. Document work activities using CMMS.

What you will bring

1. High school diploma or GED with 5 years of manufacturing experience (CNC preferred) or an Associate Degree or equivalent with 3 years of experience.
2. Knowledge of AC/DC circuits in high and low voltage applications.
3. Working knowledge of controls, mechanical, electrical, and electronic principles.
4. Basic computer skills (Windows).

Eligibility Requirements

1. Ability to work 3rd shift: 10am-6am.
2. Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
3. Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends.
4. Must be U.S. Person for access to export-controlled information.

What will make you stand out

1. Certification in J-STD 001 or ISO 2000 soldering or equivalent.
2. Proficiency with electro-mechanical, control, servo motors, pneumatic, hydraulic, and pump systems.
3. Ability to interpret schematics and assembly drawings.
4. Experience with measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, multimeters, oscilloscopes.
5. Ability to work independently and in teams.

Additional Information

• Shift differential of 10% for 2nd & 3rd shifts.

Compensation: The hourly pay range is $35-$45, plus a 10% shift differential. Final pay depends on experience and qualifications.
