MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a CNC Mechanic 1 to support the maintenance team in installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. The role involves regular inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and collaboration with other technicians and production staff.

Reporting to the Machine Shop Operations Manager, you will help ensure optimal machine performance and uptime. The position emphasizes independent and collaborative work, with responsibilities ranging from

Qualifications

• Vocational or community college degree with related coursework or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related experience required.
• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Express Maintenance, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify the cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and services on machines.
• Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts, and reinstalling as necessary.
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure efficient performance.
• Clean and organize the inventory and maintain shop area, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Perform other assignments as needed.
