MKS Instruments is seeking a Machine Shop Maintenance Mechanic in Lawrence, MA. You will perform preventive maintenance on critical shop machinery and work with the Maintenance Team to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues, calibrating equipment, and maintaining logs. Strong reading of manuals and PPE adherence are required. On-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with hands-on mechanical experience.
• Small engine repair experience helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals; proficient with hand/power tools and precision instruments.
• Commitment to OSHA safety standards and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical issues when machines fail.
• Calibrate machines to meet operating and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and parts used.
• Keep tools, work areas, and safety equipment clean and organized.
