Job summary

Aerotek seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to keep CNC and related production equipment running safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordination with engineering and outside contractors.

The successful candidate will read electrical schematics and blueprints, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility environment. Strong collaboration with CNC setup operators and programmers is essential.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, clean, and maintain production equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Perform root-cause analysis on mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic systems, conveyors, blending, scaling, filling, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose issues with CNC machines and other production equipment and communicate findings clearly to engineering and external contractors.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical assemblies to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and general upkeep of the building, including bathrooms, conference rooms, offices, and other common areas.
• Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment layouts to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical wiring, relay logic, control circuits, and safety circuits, and report issues requiring external repair.
• Perform basic diagnostic and troubleshooting work on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems while coordinating repair work with outside contractors.
• Work closely with the engineering team, CNC setup operators, programmers, and other technical staff to resolve mechanical and control-related problems.
• Support PLC maintenance activities by identifying issues and collaborating with engineering or contractors for resolution.
• Prioritize workload effectively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professional communication about technical problems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility standards and safety practices.
