Job summary

DJS Manufacturing is seeking a motivated CNC Set-up/Operator to run Mazak and Haas machines on the 1st shift (Mon-Thu 6:00 am-2:30 pm, overtime on Friday).

You will perform startup/shutdown, setup, and troubleshooting to keep equipment at peak performance while upholding quality and safety standards. A competitive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, paid vacation/holidays, 401k, profit sharing, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on CNC machining equipment.
• Setup and operate CNC machining equipment.
• Perform machine alignment and zero home procedures.
• Troubleshoot machine problems.
• Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on CNC machining equipment.
• Setup and operate CNC machining equipment.
• Perform some machine alignment procedures and machine zero home procedures to keep equipment at peak operating performance.
• Able to troubleshoot machine problems.
• Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
• Must be able to set up Mazak and Haas.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
• Excellent attendance and a positive, 'can do' attitude.

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• CNC programming experience.
