Job summary

Jim's Machining, a family-owned precision machining shop, is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist / Setup Operator in the United States. The role involves setting up Haas, Toyoda, and Doosan CNC mills, loading tooling, and verifying first article parts against drawings to ensure quality.

You will inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, adjust tool offsets, and troubleshoot basic machining issues while meeting production goals and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years CNC milling experience (operator experience required; setup experience preferred).
  • Experience with Haas, Toyoda, or Doosan CNC mills is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and a solid understanding of CNC machining principles.
  • Experience making tool offsets and performing basic machine adjustments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards in our ISO 9001-certified facility.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Day Shift 7:00 am - 4:30 pm

9/80 Work Schedule - Enjoy every other Friday off while still working 80 hours in a two-week pay period.
