Job summary
Momentum Manufacturing in Vermont is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Engineer to lead New Part Introduction (NPI) and optimize machining processes for precision components in an aerospace-quality environment.
You will review customer drawings, provide DFM feedback, and collaborate with Estimating, Customer Service, Production, Quality and Sales to meet deadlines while driving continuous improvement across the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or associate degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
- Experience programming and operating CNC machines in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling, and materials.
- Proficiency with CAD for part modeling and drawings.
- Proficient with Windows-based software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Program and optimize CNC machining processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Support NPI to meet customer deadlines and set up parts you program.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain CNC documentation including parameters and tooling setups.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle times and waste.
- Train production staff on CNC operation and best practices.
- Ensure safety regulations and quality standards are met throughout.
